After packing up from the Markland and leaving Dingwall we made our way to Ingonish to hike the Franey Trail.

No visit to CB is complete without a pilgrimage to see the house my grandfather built in Dominion in the early 1930s. The house hasn’t been in the family since 1944, but we still like to check on her.

After seeing family we went to Halifax for a night and visited the Public Gardens. The bees were crazy for the Dahlias.

From Halifax we travelled to Split Point Provincial Park on shore of the Bay of Fundy where we enjoyed another fantastic hike in 20C weather. From there we were on to Digby, the scallop capital of the world!
