With earthquakes rattling, nuclear reactors exploding and western powers starting another war in the Muslim world, it’s not surprising that Canada would not make the news. But it did! Al-Jazeera reported a little while ago that the Conservative government lost a confidence vote today. Something about the government being in contempt of Parliament…HA!!!! Now that we’re going into an election, maybe we can get us a real government that cares about things other than buying zillion dollar fighter jets and building super prisons for phantom criminals while the country is up to its eyeballs in debt.
An election about the wisdom of spending massively on military hardware while the country is in debt? Feels like 1993 all over again. I can hear Jean Chrétien saying now “zero ‘elicopter!”
Now I can’t wait to get home.
